Role of probiotic сomponent in prevention and treatment of antibiotic-associated diarrhea

Abstract

The article considers the current state of the problem of the diarrheal syndrome onset after taking antibiotics, as well as the effectiveness of probiotics in correcting digestive disorders. The article presents the results of observation of different groups of patients who took probiotics for the treatment of antibiotic-associated diarrhea or for its prevention. In comparison with monocomponent preparation probiotic preparation that contains bifidobacterial, the combined probiotic Lacto demonstrated better efficacy in eliminating antibiotic associated diarrhea syndrome, confirmed by clinical observations.
