Abstract
Osteoarthritis – a group of pathogenetically similars of diseases that have different etiology, have a chronic progressive course character ized by destruction of articular cartilage and the adjacent bone, accom panied by pain, violation or restriction of the functional activity of the joints, inflammation of the synovial membrane – synovitis. Osteoarthritis is a polimorbing inherent and significant levels of dis ability. Osteoarthritis is characterized by high polymorbidity and level of disability. For the treatment of osteoarthritis speed, that is disease modifying osteoarthritis drugs, such as nonsteroidal anti inflammatory drugs and corticosteroids, analgesics (mainly paracetamol) and symptomatic slow acting drugs in osteoarthritis. These include glucosamine, chon droitin, and their combination.
